Living on Pilgrimage
I considered apologizing to myself for such a long delay in posting anything on this blog. But I desisted. When first I opened De-Zeiner News, it was because someone told me that I should. It's like anything, really, that I do with someone else's passion driving me. Soon it loses energy and dies because someone else's energy soon wains thin. The passion that drives vision has to come from within my own soul, whether that vision collects cookbooks, walks the Santiago de Compostela, or collects butterflies. It's a wellspring of living water bubbling from within and spills out all over me and everyone I am with, each journey I take, each quilt I dream of creating and each book I'd like someday to read. I think that passion has little to do with accomplishment, but more to do with the dreams and visions that, in their time and season, find fulfillment in my life. So I suppose this renewal of De-Zeiner News is more about exploring those times and seasons not out of compulsion, but from the desire to experience, reflect, engage, share, and receive anew from that sharing. It's a pilgrimage -- a journey of discovery that, when all is said and done, grows deeper with each adventure, taking that which is past, reflecting on it's purpose in the present, and freeing it to wind it's way into the future wherever it needs to go. A continuous adventure of discovery. Join me if you choose. Let go if it is not for you. Pray for me from time to time if you remember. The journey begins...!
